Postpartum Doula and Trauma Coach in Vancouver, WA
How can I support you?
Postpartum can be such an intense journey. I am here to support you through it, and get you to a place where you no longer need me.

Why might you need a postpartum doula?
Rest
Sleep deprivation can exacerbate symptoms of PMADs, and lead to poor judgement and overall feelings of overwhelm. I would love to care for your baby while you get some much needed rest and restoration.
Support
Studies have shown that having social support through the postpartum period can lesson symptoms of postpartum depression.
Education
There is always something to learn about babies! Even if you’ve brushed up on your new baby knowledge sometimes the postpartum fog can cause you to forget things. I am here to help with newborn care education.
Lactation Support
Part of my training as a postpartum doula included the basics of lactation education. I’m able to help you work on your nursing relationship with your baby, and if we get to a point where I’m no longer able to help, I can refer you to my favorite local IBCLCs.
Light Housekeeping
Bringing home a new baby is a lot of work! Some families enjoy the extra help with things like dishes or laundry, so they can have more time enjoying their new baby.
Light Meal Prep
At your request I would be happy to prepare something overnight for you to enjoy in the morning!
* Who can benefit from having a trauma coach? *
- Anyone! Trauma responses manifest in various ways. Oftentimes we don’t realize what we’re experiencing is trauma response. If you are noticing, ever since a certain incident, no matter how “big” or “small”, that you are reacting to life differently, you may benefit from a trauma coach. This may include experiencing anxiety or panic, obsessive compulsive tendencies, flashbacks, nightmares. This may also include emotional responses like crying or anger when recalling, or in similar environments as, the original incident.
- Anyone who has had a baby! Going through such a huge event as giving birth, no matter the method, can result in trauma. Even when everything goes to plan, birth is inherently traumatic on the mind and body.
- The birthing support person. Watching your partner or loved one go through something so significant can be life-changing, even if your partner or loved one seems fine. Your experience is valid too, and deserves the same care that any trauma does.
- People with altered birth plans. Trauma can be a result when even one thing does not go as you had hoped. When significant changes happen during birth that you were not anticipating, it can cause birth trauma.

In the midst of the downpour, I’m honored to help you blossom
